Pianos
I’ve been learning piano tuning and repair. I’m currently working on restoring/rebuilding a piano and when I’m done, I’ll start working on making some extra change off of it. Turns out to be a relaxing and rewarding job. As I finish each piece of the piano, I get an immediate sense of accomplishment. Once I start the tuning component, I’ve already got six or seven pianos available to practice on and one paying job (they’re in no rush).
I’ve just moved the piano into the house. It’s playable, but I’ve not finished re-topping the keys. I’m hoping to have the keys finished in the next week or so and start work on regulation and tuning.
Computers
I do computer support and administration for a living. I also do occasional work on a volunteer basis or for some extra cash. I’ve done POS setups for retail, networks, storage, web sites (with product catalogs and checkout carts), and computer repair and setup.
Most of the web sites I work with are either using WordPress (designed for blogs, but great as a content management tool), php, mysql, and sometimes I’ve worked a bit with OS Commerce (for store sites).
I’m just getting ready to work on a new site for the Wright City, MO church (current site at http://www.wcnaz.com).

Here’s the really short bio. I’m a computer administrator, so if it’s windows, linux, unix, or even a mac, I can probably do whatever needs to be done. I’ve been in the business for over 10 years now and worked in everything from small businesses to non-profit research institutions to some of the largest corporations in the world.
I’m learning about piano tuning and repair and restoring an old piano that belonged to my grandparents. That, following politics and St Louis & Detroit sports teams and extensive reading are my hobbies.
Finally, I work with a Youth Bible Quizzing program in the Church of the Nazarene. I direct the Missouri District program and help out with the local teams at Ferguson Church of the Nazarene.
